A Veteran Helping Veteran, Inc. (AVHV) is a West Michigan 501(3)c non-profit, EIN 83-3286334, whose mission is to ACTIVELY reduce suicides and mental health crises by promoting the United States Department of Veteran Affairs’ WHOLE HEALTH APPROACH. Through personal experience, we at A Veteran Helping Veteran, Inc recognized a need to share information and support to veterans, first responders, and those who care for them in our greater community.

A Veteran Helping Veteran, Inc provides resources to bridge the gap between larger veteran organizations and local veterans/first responders. By promoting and sponsoring veteran events around our community within the state of Michigan, we help local veterans and their families make important connections with each other while educating the general public about veteran concerns. We provide free tickets to Grand Rapids Griffin’s hockey games and funding for veterans to gather socially as a way to make connections with each other at local businesses without worrying about the cost.
